Last year on 09-09-09 it was my 60th birthday.
In the picture above, you see Baby Isabella playing in the leaves for the first time–another miracle from last year. There is nothing more magical than watching her learn and explore new things. She swings and colors and plays on the piano…and, drops to the floor when she doesn’t want to do something (hey, that’s part of growing up too). Today I saw her knock on the door and I swear I heard her say, “Who’s There?”
But my absolute favorite moment with Isabella is when I walk into the room and she squeals and runs into my arms. It just doesn’t get any better than that.
Today on 10-10-10 I’m wishing you all a year filled with blessings.
I am so thankful to each of you for helping me launch this blog–It is now three months old and at this time last year was just a dream.
For this coming year, I wish each of you a loved one who squeals and runs into your arms.
Let’s see what wonders there will be by 11-11-11 next year?

Oooh, you’re such an inspiration. I love this blog!
Thanks Lida. Tell us more about yourself.
Such a darling, sweet little one! Can there be a more joyful blessing than our grandchildren? Our years raising Daniel and Stefan were busy and happy — despite the IEP meetings and the many frustrations with the school folks and those times (thankfully relatively rare) that our boys were not understood or supported in some part of our community.
But – Grandchildren! Our three granddaughters have become our “boon companions” – traveling with us now that they are older. And our youngest, Elizabeth (just five now) is a daily source of love and grace in our lives.
Thanks for sharing your happiness and sending good wishes out for ours. . .
You are right Jamie, Tis a blessing indeed. I can’t even remember much about my kids when they were babies. That whole time period was a blur. Isabella’s growth is a blur too, but that is because I can’t watch fast enough.
Every time I am with her, I marvel at what she is learning.
Best wishes with all your family. Sounds like you have many blessings.
Hi Mary:
She is adorable! It is so wonderful when they are this age. I loved being a mom then (still do – but different now.)
I hope that my blog will be stronger too, generating an income for me and providing a platform that I can spring from to support my family. Thank you for helping me come this far.
Love,
Alison
Alison, you are doing all the right things. Plus you have so many talents and experiences. I’m sure you’re blog will be a great success. Thanks for bing my blogging buddy–I couldn’t have found anyone better. M.
Thanks Mary for the well wishing on us all. I’m glad you had a great time with your granddaughter. W
ell I would love to accomplish three thing by 11 11 11. 1. To be able to expand my readership and get my blog on a better footing. Thus hopefully making a difference in the lives of those with disabilities. Doing this by showing families and the general public how disabled people are part of the new ere that is upon. Regardless of if you call it the Shift of the Ages(Mayan calendar related) or ascending Dwapara Yuga(Ancient Hindu cycles of time). 2. To find a way to expand my love of performing my cedar flute. 3. To connect my fascination with the ancient prehistoric past with my desire to help the disabled.
Peace and freedom
Ambitious and worthy goals Gary. Let us know how you are making progress on each of them.
