Last post, I shared some videos from the Norweigan Association of the Blind. Here’s a collection of videos about the IEP and Acronymns. I’m still looking for any videos or websites about the rights of adults with severe disabilities, autism and parents of adults.
I hope you will share your thoughts in the comments.

Over to You: What do you think?
Do you have other YouTube videos to recommend? Other social media sites?
Does anyone know of any sites or videos about adults? Parenting adults with disabilities?
I think these videos are great. The songs are also geared to kids, which can help children who have IEP’s understand what is going on in these meetings. I think social media is a very powerful and effective way of raising awareness as well as simply being informative.
This video doesnt pertain to IEP’s but it is a video we showed at one of our Autism Speak’s meetings on campus. I think it is very eye opening to what parents go through on a daily basis.

Hi Ashley, glad you liked the videos.
I didn’t know Autism Speaks has university groups, thanks for spreading the word and the video.
The IEP videos are very fun and informative. For the people who are unaware of the whole process or for a parent to know what to expect i think these video’s are a great tool.
Glad you liked them. They are basic information, but sometimes that’s what people want. Thanks for joining in Anthony.
You might also want to look at Peter Leidy’s website; http://www.peterleidy.com/dvd-doing-best-work.html
He has and IDT song and “ABCs”

Thanks for the link Dave. The New Hampshire Council on Developmental Disabilities is one of the leaders in the country. I’ll have to check out more about Peter Leidy, but his 10 principles look awesome.
I watched the first two. Second one too robotic for me to listen to but might if I really wanted to know. First one was fun and got the point across – there could be a lot of people at the meeting and what options for people to attend there were.
I think videos can be a good learning tool for some people. These were light but I think they do serve a purpose. As someone who had had an IEP for their child, I might get some kind of introduction to the process and at least, it is some light-hearted fun about a situation that is usually extremely stressful.
Thanks Alison, everyone has different learning styles, guess we need lots of choices. Love the title of your post.
